First attempt (this year) at spending the night in our "summer bedroom"
(read: on the terrace). It almost worked.
Almost.
If it weren't for the invasion of May beetles, which were relentlessly bouncing off the mosquito net.
The thought of one of them slipping through the mesh kept me from closing my
eyes. I start flailing my arms as soon as I think about it.
Secondly, something was running under the terrace floor.
It was running and making squeaky noises, so, I have some suspicions. After a sleepless hour, stolen from me by the (damn) menagerie, I grabbed the pillow and moved to the bedroom.
Next attempt in June (unless there are also June beetles?...)
